This page describes how to get Etomica sources into Eclipse from CVS.

# Ensure you have a recent version of Eclipse (download). The current version (as of 8/18/2008) is 3.4 (Europa). Eclipse 3.0 or greater should be sufficient.
# Create a new project
## In the "File" menu, select "New", then "Project".
## Select "Java Project", then click the "Next" button.
## Give it a project name, choose an appropriate location. Make a note of the type of "Project Layout" that is selected. Then click "Next>"
## In the "libraries" tab, click the "Add Library" button.
## Select "JUnit" and click "Next>".
## Click "Finish". 
# In Eclipse, create a "CVS Repository":
## In the "Window" menu, select "Show View", then "Other".
## Choose CVS->CVS Repositories.
## In the CVS Repositories view, right click, and choose New->Repository Location.
## <code>Host</code> is rheneas.eng.buffalo.edu, <code>Repository path</code> is /cvsroot, <code>User</code> is anonymous, <code>Password</code> is nothing (leave it blank) and <code>Connection type</code> is pserver. The rest of the default options are ok. 
##* If you have write access to the repository, <code>User</code> is your username on rheneas, <code>Password</code> is your rheneas password and <code> Connection type</code> is extssh.  You need not enter the password at this point.  You will be prompted for the password when it's needed.
# Check out Etomica
## Open the new repository, then open up HEAD.
## Open up the folder for the project you desire (etomica, etomica.modules, etomica.apps, etc...)
## Right click on the "etomica" folder and select "Check Out As..."
## Select the "Check out into an existing project" radio button.
## click "Next"
## Select the target folder that you created in the instructions above. Depending on the type of "Project Layout" you chose, the target could be the root folder of the project or a subfolder called <code>src</code>.
## click "Finish"
# Grab any [[Source:Libs|3rd-party libraries]] you might need.
